ANNOUNCEMENT OF' THE 2O1OR ISTOW PRIZE
FOR AN ACADEMIC RESEARCH PAPER IN TTTE HISTORY OF CARTOGRAPHY
This prize recognizes academic achievement in the History of Cartography and honors the legacy of the late Dr. Walter W. Ristow.
The prize is $1000 cash award, a one-year membership in the Washington map Society, and publication of the paper in The Portolan – Journal of the Washington Map Society.
Full or part-time undergraduate, graduate, and first year post-doctoral students attending accredited U.S. or foreign colleges and universities may apply.
The deadline is Tuesday June 1, 2010. Entries must be submitted directly to Marianne M. McKee, Ristow Prize Chair.
