Office Administrator : Closing Date 10 December  2008.

 

The Northern BC Graduate Student Society (NBCGSS) is now accepting applications for the position of Office Administrator.

 

Reporting directly to the Executive Council and Graduate Student Society the Office Administrator is responsible for the maintenance of the Graduate Student Society Office and the day to day operations of the Graduate Student Society at the University of Northern BC. The Office Administrator is the first point of contact for all graduate students and responsible to assist them with a number of student related issues. The office administrator offers support to the Society Executive and completes other duties detailed by the Executive.

 

Qualifications:

 

You have an excellent customer service focus; exceptional interpersonal, organizational and communication skills; and the ability to demonstrate initiative. You have to be proficient in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, (i.e. MS Word, Excel, Access, Publisher etc) and communication software (i.e. Outlook Express), and familiar with Internet navigation. You demonstrate the ability to work both independently and within a team environment. You will be self-directed with a demonstrated ability to exercise sensitivity, empathy, discretion and good judgment. You also have an interest and commitment to student affairs and development, and a desire to support a strong student community at the post-secondary level.

 

 

This is a permanent part-time position of 20 hours/week within the normal working hours of Monday to Friday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. starting wage will be $13.00 - $15.00 hour based on experience.
